28 January 2025

Agma, the Israeli Knowledge Center for Watersheds and Rivers, and also a partner in the Nahal Dalia pilot, leads academic courses aimed at advancing stream restoration and integrated watershed management. These courses are designed to install practical and innovative knowledge in the fields of environment, engineering, and society, connecting theory with hands-on experiential learning in the field.

One of the course days was dedicated to the Difle marshlands area. The students were introduced to the main issues emerging from the pilot and received an in-depth overview of the region's water resources. They explored diverse issues in ecology, engineering, flood management, statutory planning, land management, regional partnerships, and social aspects.

The students conducted observational exercises and worked in groups on practical solutions to pilot area issues, presenting their proposals to professionals for feedback. The course highlighted the importance of integrated watershed management and its practical impact on the Nahal Dalia pilot.
