The 13th International Workshop on Modeling the Ocean (IWMO) will be held in Hamburg, Germany, from June 27 to 30, 2023. This workshop, hosted by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon, aims to bring together renowned international experts from various fields such as modeling, observation, ecology, and biology. The objective is to engage in fruitful discussions on a wide range of ideas concerning Ocean Modeling, all while enjoying an intellectually stimulating and relaxed atmosphere.
Among the participants attending this event are Agustin Sanchez-Arcilla of UPC, the coordinator of the REST-COAST project, along with members from the Deltares and Heron teams. During the workshop, the REST-COAST project will receive special attention with a keynote presentation by the project coordinator and a detailed presentation by Luciana Villa from Hereon, focusing on nature-based solutions and their practical implementation in the Wadden Sea pilot site of the project.
