10 May 2024

Organised by the Interreg Euro-MED Natural Heritage Mission, the Summer School on Nature Restoration is going to take place between 18 and 20 June 2024 at the National Institute of Biology, Piran, Slovenia. The topic of the gathering is “Our Mediterranean ecosystems’ health is in danger. Time to restore it!” and aims to provide a better understanding of the EU Nature Restoration policy and explore its objectives, and main pillars.

Participants will also have the opportunity to exchange knowledge on ecosystems’ health, indicators for vulnerability, restoration monitoring methods, and many more. Amongst the attending experts is REST-COAST’s members Pilar Marin of IUCN, who will give a presentation on  “Tools for effective restoration through transformative governance and policy upscaling: The RESTCOAST project approach”.
