REST-COAST contributed to a special restoration session at ASLO-SIL 2026

REST-COAST participated in the ASLO-SIL 2026 Joint Meeting, held from 12 to 16 May 2026 in Montreal, Canada. The international conference brought together freshwater and marine scientists, stakeholders, and knowledge holders to discuss connections across aquatic ecosystems and collaborative approaches for addressing environmental challenges.

As part of the conference, REST-COAST contributed to the special session “Restoring river-coast landscapes to develop natural resilience”, organised together with the COAST-SCAPES and DANUBIUS projects. The session focused on restoration approaches that strengthen ecosystem resilience across connected river and coastal systems.

The discussions highlighted the importance of nature-based solutions, ecosystem restoration, and collaboration in enhancing climate adaptation and biodiversity conservation in aquatic environments.
