REST-COAST was presented at the 7th Euro-Mediterranean Conference for Environmental Integration (EMCEI 2025), held from 23 to 26 June 2025 in Reggio Calabria, Italy. 

The conference is an international forum dedicated to advancing environmental science research, innovation and collaboration across the Euro-Mediterranean region and beyond, bringing together researchers and experts working on multidisciplinary environmental challenges.

During the meeting, REST-COAST partners presented the contribution “Eco-engineering solutions for mitigating compound flooding in anthropised Mediterranean coastal wetlands” by Massimiliano Marino, Martin J. Baptist, Ahmad I. K. Alkharoubi, Sofia Nasca, Luca Cavallaro, Enrico Foti and Rosaria Ester Musumeci.  

The presentation showcased project research on nature-based and eco-engineering approaches for reducing flood risks, strengthening coastal resilience and supporting climate adaptation in Mediterranean coastal environments.
