REST-COAST at iCARE 2025

REST-COAST was presented at the International Climate Resilience Conference (iCARE), held from 26–29 October 2025 at Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) Munich, Germany. The conference brought together researchers, policymakers and practitioners to discuss climate resilience, adaptation strategies and innovative solutions for addressing climate change impacts.

As part of the programme, Francesca Coccon from the Consortium for coordination of research activities concerning the Venice lagoon system (CORILA) presented the contribution “Restoration and monitoring of artificial saltmarshes in the Venice Lagoon: early insights and scalable approaches within the REST-COAST Project”. The presentation highlighted ongoing work on coastal restoration and monitoring in the Venice Lagoon, focusing on nature-based solutions and climate resilience approaches developed within the project.

The conference aimed to strengthen collaboration on climate resilience research, support exchange between researchers and practitioners, and promote resilience-focused approaches to climate adaptation and risk management.
