REST-COAST participated in this year's edition of the EGI Conference, hosted by the EGI Foundation. The event took place from 30 September to 3 October in Lecce, Italy, attracting more than 300 attendees.
The conference centred on various elements of computing and data infrastructure across Europe, with a particular focus on the applications of artificial intelligence and Digital Twin technologies. These innovative approaches were discussed in relation to pressing global challenges, including sustainability, climate change, and research on marine biodiversity. The gathering provided a valuable platform for experts to exchange ideas and explore how cutting-edge digital tools can support environmental and scientific advancements.
REST-COAST joined the conference with an exhibition booth shared with another European project, the Horizon Europe ANERIS project. Over the course of four days, participants were able to stop by our stand, explore the displayed materials, and engage in a conversation with one of our colleagues from Pensoft Publishers, who leads the Communication and Dissemination activities within REST-COAST.
