REST-COAST at the Meeting of the World Coastal Forum Coordination group

On 2 April 2025, REST-COAST took part in an online meeting of the World Coastal Forum (WCF) Coordination Group, contributing to ongoing international discussions on coastal ecosystem conservation, restoration, and sustainable coastal development.

The World Coastal Forum brings together governments, researchers, international organisations, and stakeholders working on coastal resilience and ecological governance. The initiative supports global cooperation to protect coastal ecosystems, promote biodiversity conservation, and strengthen climate adaptation strategies in coastal regions.

The Coordination Group meeting contributed to preparations and collaboration activities linked to the 2025 World Coastal Forum, held in Yancheng, China, which focused on international cooperation, coastal ecosystem management, and sustainable development approaches for vulnerable coastal areas.
