On 25 October 2023, the Euro-Mediterranean Meeting on Nature-Based Solutions conference was held on the topic of “Local proposals, methodology, exchange of experiences.” in Malaga, Spain.
The conference was orginised by IUCN and was part of their goals to bring awareness to the actions needed to protect, sustainably manage and restore natural and modified ecosystems. The desired final objectives of the goals are to address societal challenges in effective and adaptive ways, simultaneously benefiting people and nature.
Pilar Marin was a representative for the REST-COAST project and her presentation was part of Session 1: Field Experiences and Future Projects. The topic was in connection with the conference's main objectives: to discuss methodological approaches, to promote scientific exchange, tools and research models acquired in the execution of Nature-based Solutions research projects, also to enable participants to explore the possibilities of scientific cooperation and cooperation with local administrations.
