REST-COAST was presented at the 13th World Congress of the European Water Resources Association (EWRA), held from 24 to 28 June 2025 in Palermo, Italy and organised by the HYCLIC Lab of the University of Palermo. 

Held under the theme “New challenges in understanding and managing water-related risks in a changing environment”, the congress brought together international scientists and engineers to discuss innovation in sustainable water resources management, climate adaptation and resilience.

As part of the scientific programme, Luis Garrote (UPM)  presented the contribution “Estimation of the current and future potential sediment transport capacity of the Ebro River”. The presentation highlighted REST-COAST research related to sediment dynamics and river-coast interactions, supporting the understanding of climate-related challenges and sustainable coastal restoration approaches in the Ebro Delta.
