REST-COAST research presented at GNRAC 2025 in Palermo

REST-COAST research was presented at the XIX Annual GNRAC Workshop, held from 13 to 15 October 2025 in Palermo, Italy. 

The event focused on coastal environment protection, sustainability and climate change risks, bringing together researchers and experts working on coastal management and adaptation.

As part of the workshop programme, REST-COAST partners from the University of Catania (UNICT), Ahmad I.K. Alkharoubi, Massimiliano Marino, Luca Cavallaro, Enrico Foti and Rosaria Ester Musumeci presented the contribution “A wave-driven early warning system for coastal flood forecasting”.

The presentation highlighted project research on coastal flood prediction and early warning systems using wave and hydrodynamic modelling approaches to support coastal resilience and climate adaptation.
