REST-COAST research was presented at the OceanPredict Symposium 2024 (OP’24), held from 18 to 22 November 2024 at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France. 

Organised by OceanPredict in partnership with the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, the symposium focused on the development of operational oceanography for societal benefit and contributed to the objectives of the UN Ocean Decade.

As part of the scientific programme, REST-COAST partners from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) presented the contribution “Advanced very high-resolution coastal modelling to improve local forecasting of Barcelona's nearshore waters”. 

The presentation spotlighted research on high-resolution coastal modelling and forecasting tools supporting improved understanding of coastal dynamics, risk management and climate resilience in coastal areas.
