REST-COAST was presented at the SMAGUA International Water and Irrigation Exhibition, held on 4–5 March 2025 in Zaragoza, Spain and organised by Condeferación de Empresarios de Aragón / Enterprise Europe Network. The event brought together representatives from the water, irrigation and environmental sectors to discuss innovative technologies, engineering solutions and current challenges related to water management and sustainability.

As part of the programme, Luis Garrote (UPM) presented REST-COAST activities related to water engineering under global change scenarios, with a particular focus on sediment mobilisation in reservoirs and its relevance for coastal resilience and ecosystem restoration. 

The event provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge with experts and stakeholders from across the sector and to showcase REST-COAST approaches to climate adaptation and sustainable coastal management.
