We are thrilled to announce the release of the first REST-COAST video, which serves as an insightful glimpse into the objectives, goals, and highlights of the project, as seen through the eyes of the experts involved in this ambitious endeavour. Furthermore, it showcases the consortium's experiences during the first year of REST-COAST and sets a promising agenda for the project's future.

Coastal ecosystems, which encompass diverse habitats such as mangroves, salt marshes, and seagrasses, play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance. However, these invaluable ecosystems face numerous threats, including climate change, pollution, habitat destruction, and sea-level rise. Recognising the urgency of the situation, the REST-COAST project is set to address the key challenges to coastal ecosystem through innovative solutions. 

The project’s video showcases the project’s objectives, goals and noteworthy contributions made by the REST-COAST consortium in their collective pursuit of restoring coastal ecosystems through the establishment of rivers to sea connectivity.
